A partner in the real estate and environmental practice group of Cleveland-based Benesch Law, Jared Oakes also founded the firm’s healthy communities consulting practice, Kaleidoscope Development Advisors.
Oakes served on the ULI Building Healthy Places Initiative advisory board since its inception, and is devoted to creating communities that have positive health impacts while also creating tremendous economic value for developers.
“ULI has been an inspiration for our healthy community consulting business, and it has easily been the professional organization that has meant the most in my life,” he says. “ULI’s focus on responsible and sustainable land use and real estate practices, including its newer focus on building healthy places, resonates with the way I approach real estate development projects.
“My passion is to use real estate projects and community development to make America a healthier nation. ULI has afforded me the ability to develop a strong working knowledge of the cutting-edge practices in the area of healthy communities and has enabled me to develop a strong network of professionals who have a similar vision.”
Oakes was the youngest chairman of ULI Cleveland.
