Harry Lake authentically engages with all stakeholders in the neighborhoods where he works, including those who support his planned developments and those who oppose them. That engagement helps him complete development projects and create new places that are ultimately embraced by their communities.
“We truly focus on the user of the space and handcraft an innovative solution for their needs,” he says.
Before he founded Koa Partners, Lake led the U.S. acquisition strategy for the Trammell Crow Company. He worked on Timbercreek, an infill redevelopment in Dallas, that successfully overcame opposition. “It is a great example of having an early vision of what an underperforming location could become,” he says.
Lake also created Koa Canopy, the philanthropic branch of his firm. In 2015, this philanthropy personally served over 200 meals at the homes of families in need on Thanksgiving Day. “We hope to eclipse this effort in 2016 while continuing to grow our other initiatives, both public and private,” says Lake.
